How much do repairs cost?
Estimates are free, and there is no obligation.
We charge a $60/hour shop rate for all repairs, and include some standard materials in that cost (pads, corks, springs, etc).
Nationally, you will see woodwind shops charging anywhere from $50 to $85 per hour.
We do not have a minimum amount, and repairs that take less than one hour will be charged accordingly.
For more information, see your specific instrument: flute, oboe, clarinet, bassoon.
Who will actually do the work my instrument?
We perform all repairs, including cleaning and preparatory work, in-house.
You will be advised if any repairs will be sent out to a specialist (plating, etc.)

How long will it take?
That depends on what kind of instrument you have and what work is going to be done.
A complete annual service (clean/oil/adjust) for a smaller instrument will take one to four days, large instruments a couple days extra.
An overhaul will take one to three weeks.
Some basic adjustments can be done while-you-wait.
You will be advised at the time of estimate.
