reed-er-y /REEdәree/ n. happy place where reeds are made and sold.

I received my Bachelor of Music degree from CSULB in 2006 and my Band Instrument Repair Diploma from Red Wing in 2007. I have studied woodwind repair with Jeff Peterson, oboe repair with John Peterson, and piccolo repair with Paul Rabinov. I earned Straubinger certification in March of 2009.

I have 12 years of experience playing the oboe and making reeds, 18 years of experience playing the flute, and three years of experience repairing professional woodwind instruments. My most influential teachers have been John Reilly, Joe Stone, Leo Potts, and Florence Estrin.

As a freelance musician, I spend most of my working hours making reeds, repairing instruments, practicing, and giving lessons. I play principal oboe in the Orange County Symphony in Anaheim and am frequently contracted for gigs that include churches, ballets, community events, and celebrations.
